Fish On introduces new Chef Phil Mastripolito

Fish On, part of Matt Haley’s award winning Sodel Concepts restaurant group, is located at 17300 North Village Main Blvd in Lewes. Fish On garnered acclaim from both critics and diners alike. Helping to carry out Matt’s vision of using fresh ingredients in simplistic presentations is Chef Philip Mastrippolito, an award winning graduate of Delaware Technical and Community College Culinary Arts program who hails from Unionville, Pa.

In 2005, he felt a change was in order and decided to travel to Southern Delaware where he was introduced to SoDel Concepts and quickly became one of SoDel’s top Chef’s. His genuine passion for food is complimented by his polite confidence. When you meet Philip, you know that food is serious business to him from his quiet intensity as he focuses on his craft to his light hearted descriptions of the dishes he creates. After spending time as Head Chef at two other Sodel Concepts properties, North East Seafood Kitchen and Catch 54, he has been transferred to Fish On to spread his culinary knowledge and skills.

Philip has been successful combining the best tasting foods, and presenting them in classic “less is more” style. As one of Haley’s top chef’s Mastripolito will bring a fresh new look to Fish On’s regional seasonal farm to table approach that has kept Fish On’s reputation as a cutting edge restaurant in Delmarva. “Phil’s knowledge of food and wine and his ability to write event menus along with running a strong restaurant kitchen will allow Fish On to continue accommodate the needs of our valued customers” said Haley.
