Carey Graviet, Design Team | carey@sodelconcepts.com

Carey was born in Freehold, NJ and grew up in Wilmington, DE. She attended the University of Delaware where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. After a few internships, she accepted a position at the Bruce Palmer Design Studio in 2007 where she gained a lot of experience learning all aspects of design, from color to fabrics, finishes, principles of design, Auto CAD, client relations and the importance of fine details. Carey draws inspiration from architecture’s innovativeness, symmetry, classic details and loves how the combinations of color, texture, form and function can tell a story and evoke emotions.

Carey began working with SoDel Concepts to help design Bluecoast Rehoboth in 2017, after working with the Kammerers to decorate their new home. She now oversees the interior design at all locations and has endless opportunities to spread her knowledge and ideas across SoDel’s 12 restaurants. Each space is unique and requires creativity and something a little different.

Carey and her team lead the interior design of SoDel’s newest restaurants, Thompson Island and Matt’s Fish Camp Fenwick, and the redesigns of Lupo Italian Kitchen, Fish On, and Crust and Craft. In addition, the design team was integral in ensuring company success throughout the pandemic, creating new and enhancing existing outdoor dining spaces at all of the SoDel Concepts’ restaurants.

Carey lives in Lewes with her husband, Matthew, their three children and their two dogs.
