REHOBOTH BEACH, DEL. (Feb. 16, 2023) — SoDel Concepts recently promoted Mike Dickinson to the President of the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware-based hospitality company. Dickinson, who joined the company in 2005, was previously vice president.

“Mike not only knows our businesses inside and out, but his knowledge and expertise of the industry has helped our company grow significantly,” said Scott Kammerer, CEO of SoDel Concepts and previous President.

In the CEO role, Kammerer will assume leadership for the hospitality group’s multiple companies.

“Mike epitomizes our culture,” he said, “and I am confident he will continue to take SoDel to new heights.

Dickinson, the oldest son of two public school teachers, grew up in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania but summered in Rehoboth Beach, where he waited tables. After graduating from Muhlenberg College, he worked full time in the restaurant industry.

"I have learned so much working at SoDel Concepts, from both our company leaders and my co-workers. In some ways I feel like I have grown up with the company, so this promotion means so much to me. It is an honor to lead SoDel Concepts into the future, and I am excited for the challenge," said Dickinson on the promotion.

He started with SoDel Concepts as the general manager of Bluecoast Seafood Grill and Raw Bar in Bethany Beach and worked under the late Matt Haley, who founded the company.

While still handling his responsibilities at Bluecoast, Dickinson helped open three SoDel Concepts restaurants.

In 2016, he became vice president to oversee all the restaurants and business operations.

In 2017, “Delaware Business Times” added Dickinson to the list of the “best and brightest young professionals under 40.”
