Rehoboth Beach, Del. (June 12, 2026)  — SoDel Cares, the charitable foundation of SoDel Concepts, recently awarded a round of donations to local organizations doing tremendous work in the community.

SoDel Cares was founded in 2015 by Scott Kammerer to honor the legacy of the late Matt Haley.  The foundation exists to support the lives of children and families throughout the local region.

SoDel Cares distributes tens of thousands of dollars in annual grants to nonprofits addressing hunger, youth mentorship, education, and crisis support.  To date, SoDel Cares has donated over 1.3 million dollars to charitable organizations.  These contributions help sustain essential programs ranging from food assistance, second-chance opportunities, and after-school support.

This year, the company supported over 25 different organizations including the Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation, the Community Resource Center, Delaware Adolescent Program, Inc., Harry K Foundation, Joshua M. Freeman Foundation, La Esperanza, Inc., Meals On Wheels: Lewes/Rehoboth, Boys & Girls Club of Delaware, Camp Hope, Pathways to Success, Inc. and many more.

SoDel Cares has a few signature fundraising events, including the SoDel Cares 5k, the Woodford Reserve Food Fight, Seasonal Wine Dinners and new to the lineup this year, the Summer Crush-Off.  The events bring together local residents and businesses to raise funds for community organizations.  SoDel Concepts employees also play a major role, volunteering time and participating in year-round giving initiatives.

“SoDel Cares exists to lift up our neighbors and strengthen the communities where we live and work,” said SoDel Concepts CEO Scott Kammerer. “Every grant we award reflects our commitment to making Southern Delaware a better place for everyone.”

SoDel Cares remains a driving force for positive change across the region and will continue to support local organizations that assist children, at risk youth and adults, and the elderly.
