Sam Cilia, Executive Pastry Chef

Sam was born and raised in Wilmington Delaware and spent her summers at her families summer home in Bethany Beach.

Growing up, Sam always cooked with her Grandfather, and baked with her Mom, a pastime she always loved. After beginning college at the University of Delaware as an apparel design major, Sam realized what she really wanted was to learn more about cooking and started taking culinary classes at DelTech. In 2014 she moved to the beach full time.

In 2017 she started what would become her culinary career with SoDel Concepts at The Clubhouse at Baywood, initially as an events prep cook, but eventually as a line cook, learning all of the stations on the line.

In 2019 Sam was promoted to the manager of the Meals On Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth operation at Fish On in Lewes, which sends out over 200 meals daily to homebound seniors in our communities. She Oversaw all aspects of the operation including ordering, cooking, packaging, and managing staff.

Throughout her years with SoDel, Sam always managed and executed desserts at the restaurant where she was working. In 2020 Sam became the Pastry Sous Chef for the entire company, working under and closely with Dru Tevis, SoDel Concepts' Corporate Pastry Chef. In 2022, Sam was promoted to Executive Pastry Sous Chef. In this role she oversees pastry menus, creation, execution, dessert campaigns, and all aspects of the desert program for 16 restaurants.

Sam lives in Milton with her boyfriend and her two sons.
