REHOBOTH BEACH, DEL. — Along Delaware’s Culinary Coast, lunch is a convenient and often affordable way to experience a beach-area restaurant.

This month, executive chef Zach Smith and his team at Bluecoast Seafood Grill & Raw Bar in Rehoboth Beach rolled out a new menu and a bevy of lunch specials.

“We added some fun appetizers and delicious entrees that are elevated and approachable,” said Maurice Catlett, a corporate chef for SoDel Concepts, which owns Bluecoast. “We know lunch is popular, particularly during the holidays, so we feature sandwiches and salads. Or guests can make an entrée a midday meal.”

Additions on the main menu include tuna tostadas, crab salad, sesame-crusted tuna, braised short ribs, Asian cashew crunch salad, and honey-roasted butternut squash-and-apple salad.

Bluecoast classics are still favorites. “They’re not going anywhere,” Catlett agreed. Consider crab-stuffed shrimp, Bluecoast’s crabby fries, the BC burger, shrimp-and-grits, and fresh fish.

Bluecoast also has a raw bar with oysters, clams and poke.

At lunch or dinner, the restaurant offers plenty of parking off Route 1 near Schellville. Plus, it can accommodate groups in the dining room or a private dining area.

Happy hour allows friends and family members to nibble for less, and Bluecoast offers happy hour prices from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day.

Bluecoast Seafood Grill is located at 30115 Veterans Way, Rehoboth Beach. Visit bluecoastrehoboth.com.
