Rising Star Chef Emely Infante Wins Big in Back-to-Back Competitions

Fenwick Island, DE (Feb. 5, 2025) – Emely Infante, Executive Chef of Papa Grande’s Fenwick, had a weekend to remember, securing big wins in two highly competitive culinary events.

On Saturday, February 1st, Chef Emely defended her title at the Fire & Ice Festival Chili Cook-Off, winning first place for the second year in a row. Her exceptional chili once again impressed judges and the local community.

Her winning streak continued Sunday, February 2nd, at Ocean 98.1’s 11th annual ‘Best Wings on the Shore’ competition. Competing against some of the best chefs in the region, Chef Emely’s Michelada Wing took home the title of Best Overall Wing, which was voted on by the hundreds of people in attendance.

“Chef Emely just gets it,” said Doug Ruley, Vice President of Culinary Operations for SoDel Concepts. “She is super talented, her staff respects her leadership, her passion and her work ethic, and I have no doubt that this is just the beginning for her, we’re going to continue to see great things from Chef Emely in the years to come.”
